24 Hour Days and Frozen theming

So it's official the Disney parks blog announced that the 24 hour day to get park guests ready for the summer season is back. This year the 2 Kingdoms are celebrating differently though. Walt Disney World will be kicking off the "Coolest Summer Ever" with a Frozen theme and it being hosted by Olaf. Disneyland will be going with a Disneyland Diamond 60th Anniversary celebration.
Now on the merits of the events, I feel the Disneyland one sounds pretty exciting as it will kick start the "Diamond Celebration." Elegant. "Coolest Summer Ever" might as well have been called "No Surprise, Give Us Your Money."

I am incredibly tired of the Frozen everything. I understand that the movie is the highest grossing animated film of all time and that the money keeps coming in for it but I'm so tired of the products and the push. I know I'm not alone with the exhaustion for Frozen. The Frozen Fun currently at Disney California Adventure is one of the worst things I've ever seen. Thankfully they seem to have not cared either as it is mainly stuffed in the back in the "dead" area of the park. I just wish they Disney would take it on themselves to just approach it with caution. The sentiment I'm already seeing online, in park and even with my family members  is annoyance. I have family members who loved Frozen that now become infuriated when they see announcements of it being shoved in a new spot.

Now on to the other part. The 24 Hour days, the "D24" as I've heard it referred to as, is also becoming tired. Which is sad because I did the first event the "One More Disney Day" and it was spectacular. I even stood in line for 8 hours in the cold to get the special free ear hat. The event was amazing because it as it was a once in a lifetime event. The merchandise was awesome and sold out immediately, you got to hang out in Disneyland after midnight, it couldn't have been any better.

Then the following year the announced another 24 hour event and then it became clear that this was something that would be an annual event. And each year they seem to give less and less. At OMDD they gave buttons out they had snacks in the middle of the night, now it seems they would prefer you pull your wallet out and just dump the cash on the floor for them to sweep up.
And that's what I'm getting at, if you do this event every year, what's the point of going? I know I haven't made the trip out to Anaheim for a 24 hour event because they seem cheapened, especially with the lame theming they've done since OMDD.
This goes hand in hand with raising park prices annually, just because you can doesn't mean you should. I would prefer a Disney that cares about the guests and not the shareholders.
I'd love to know how you feel so feel free to tweet me, Facebook me or comment here.
Thanks for reading the whole way through!
